I've been accused of only getting my most recent role as Special Agent Timothy McGee on NCIS because of severe nepotism on the part of my step father. To the naysayers, I say boo. I don't care honestly. I'm the son of Vivienne Bellisario... she's married to Donald P. Bellisario, the executive producer of NCIS. If its a case of Nepotism, I don't really care. My whole family is on set just about every day in some respect. My step-father as I said is the executive producer, my step brother David is a producer on the show, my brother Chad works with the production crew, and my step sister Troian actually plays my sister on the show, Sarah every now and then. Most people when they say how did you get into acting, I say honestly, Its a family thing.
I guess I should introduce myself after all... I introduced my family already... we're crazy... yeah. I'm Sean Murray. I am an actor on the popular show NCIS. I've been acting since I was 14 years old. I fell in love with it from the start. I've been in stuff on the big and the small screen. I like to do a little bit of everything. I fell in love with the idea of NCIS after a doing a few episodes of JAG. I like the small screen because its steady... and I don't have to go on site a whole lot.
When I was 12, my Mom moved us to Los Angeles from New South Wales, Australia. I'm a dual citizen of the States and Australia, how many people can say that?
Lots of times, people ask me if I'm like my character Tim. I can honestly say, a little bit. I can be extremely geeky. I love computers. I've got like four in my house. I would never say that I am anywhere as intelligent as Tim is though. I can fix them if they break down, but I'm not competent enough to fix a mass-spec. I play video games, but not MMORPGs. (No elf lord here) I have a PS3 in my dressing room at the set that Chad, Mike and I play a lot.
I was married up until earlier this year. But Carrie and I decided that it honestly wasn't meant to be. We're still friends. We share joint custody of our two year old daughter, Caitlyn. Sometimes it just wasn't meant to be. It happens. Donald's been married 4 times. But I think my Mom keeps him happy. Most people say its weird that I work with most of my family on a regular basis... but I say that its nice, because if Carrie can't keep Cat, then I can always bring her in, and either one of the real family keeps her while I'm filming or Pauley... she spoils her rotten. |
